Taberal Deposits - Evidence of Permafrost Degradation

Ice Complex deposits have experienced thawing during warm periods or locally below a lake/sea/river water area. The ground ice and ice wedges thaw and the sediments redeposit and compact. After talik have reduced they freeze again to form these taberal deposits. Pseudomorphoses are one of the features of such sediments.
