SCAR/IASC IPY Open Science Conference
Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR)
International Arctic Science Committee (IASC)
Polar Research – Arctic and Antarctic Perspectives in the International Polar
Year
in association with the XXX SCAR Meeting
The IPY Joint Committee has endorsed this event as the first
in a series of international interdisciplinary IPY conferences. It is therefore
cosponsored by the International Council for Science (ICSU) and the World Meteorological
Organisation (WMO). Sessions will take place in the Pribaltiskaya Hotel and at
the Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute (AARI).
Funding available for early career
scientists SCAR/IASC IPY Conference: “Polar Research – Arctic and Antarctic
Perspectives in the International Polar Year”
IASC will provide travel grants for early career scientists
(< 5 years after completion of PhD) presenting papers with an Arctic
component to this Antarctic and Arctic collaborative conference. The maximum
travel support will be 2000 EUR per person. Applications should be sent to the
