Resources

Massive ice body, Herschel Island, CanadaThe Permafrost Young Researchers Network produces a wide range of resources for its members and the community. PYRN is the proud initiator of PYRN-Bib, a bibliography of theses completed in the field of permafrost. Rich of over 500 references this searchable bibliography is available in different formats, including an endnote-ready file

PYRN has initiated in 2007 the creation of a global list of senior researchers involved in permafrost research. This list was a request many times formulated by PYRN members and is available on these pages as an interactively searchable database.

PYRN provides to its readers a link to the IPA handbook on periglacial field methods, an invaluable tool to conduct field research. In partnership with the IPA it also grants an access to the global database of permafrost courses: IUCP.

PYRN also provides an image gallery and a series of links relevant to permafrost
