Just a brief introduction: One Austrian PhD was on site at PYRN  kick-off in 2007 in Abisko, Sweden, representing 7 members at that time. Now we count 20 persons and we highly recommend to use this page to stay in contact or blogging informations, exchange experiences or even results.

Research of PYRN-Austria members mainly focus on mountain permafrost in our backyard, the Eastern part of the Alps, but also some activities were carried out in the European Arctic. A comprehensive compilation will be online soon.
