India in Antarctica

Hello Everybody , I am posting for the first time so i would like to introduce myself. I hail from India and am  a member of its 28th expedition to Antarctica which will be launched this december. India is a constant visitor to Antarctica since 1981. We have 1 permanent station named MAITRI at Schirmacher Oasis and are soon going to build another at Larsemann Hills area. Dakshin Gangotri was India's first station at antarctica. now its submerged under snow

India has a permanent station at Schirmacher oasis named MAITRI ( means "friendship" in hindi). India is planning to build another station at Larsemann hills by 2012.
