India in Antarctica
Hello Everybody , I am posting for the first time so i would like to introduce myself. I hail from India and am a member of its 28th expedition to Antarctica which will be launched this december. India is a constant visitor to Antarctica since 1981. We have 1 permanent station named MAITRI at Schirmacher Oasis and are soon going to build another at Larsemann Hills area. India has a permanent station at Schirmacher oasis named MAITRI ( means "friendship" in hindi). India is planning to build another station at Larsemann hills by 2012.
