Dear colleagues!
Welcome to the International Conference “Mitigation of Natural Hazards and Risks” (Georisk-2009). The Conference will be organized by Sergeev Institute of Environmental Geoscience Russian Academy of Sciences (IEG RAS) and the Civil Defense and Disaster Management All-Russian Science Research Institute in the framework of the International Exhibition “Integrated safety and security 2009” (http://www.isse-russia.ru/en/).
CONFERENCE THEMES:
1. Techniques of investigating, forecast and mapping of hazardous natural and techno-natural processes.
2. Assessment of vulnerability and damages from development of hazardous natural processes.
3. Theory and practice of natural risk quantitative assessment.
4. Management of natural risks.
5. Assessment of ecological risk and risk for human health.
Geologists, geographers, engineers, geocryologists, glaciologists, soil scientists, climatologists, ecologists and all other specialists interested in the Natural Hazards and Risks studies are hereby invited to participate in the Conference which will be held in Moscow (Russia) on May 21, 2009.

Distribution of the second circular with invitation and program of Conference: April, 2009.

Conference Proceedings are supposed to be published by the beginning of the Conference. The paper should not exceed 5 pages including 1-2 figures and tables, which are attached as a single file. Text should be typed in Times New Roman with 11 font size, 1 interval, size of text field 17,5×11,2 cm (upper and lower – 6,1 cm; left and right – 4,9 cm).
Title of paper is in italic type, bold, 11 font size in central part of page without paragraph.
Surname and initials of authors are in line with bold italic, 11 font size in central part of page. Superscripts are after surnames if authors are from different departments.
Full name of department, city, country, telephone number, fax and email address of each author are on next line (appears by corresponding superscript) with italic type and 11 font size in width of page.
Abstract is on next line with italic type, 11 font size, level-headed by width of page with division of word and without paragraph. The abstract should not exceed 15 lines.
Text is in line with 11 font size, with division of word, level-headed by width of page and paragraph is 0,5 cm.
Figures and tables are from text in one interval. The names of them are with bold, 10 font size above tables left site and under figures in width in one interval from them without paragraph.
Formulas are with beginning of indention (0,5) and numbered step by step in round brackets. The number of formulas is level-headed by right site.
Literature links are given in number in text in square brackets. References are in line after text.
