Ice Complex

Two types of Ice wedges could be found here. The lower level consisting of two wedges one in another with wide heads and distinctive conic tails were formed during the time of sedimentation. It is covered with the thick layer of peat which is the buried soil. It shows us that the series of sediments below have been accumulated and frozen at the same time before the warm period began. The above-peat layer started accumulation after the break up in sedimentation, but still during the warm period. After that during the next cold period once sedimentation stopped, the epigenic ice wedges formed.
