announces the continuation of the OSL Fellowship Program in 2008/09\, funded by the
German Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF). The OSL manages this program\,
which pairs master students\, graduated research assistants\, and postdoctoral fellows
with experienced collaborating scientists from Russia and Germany to work on wellfocused
tasks of mutual interest. The objective of this program is to support young
The European Space Agency (ESA) invites young researchers to join leading
experts in Earth Observation (EO)\, Earth System Modelling and Data
Assimilation for keynote lectures\, hands-on computing practicals and
poster sessions\, on the occasion of the 4th ESA EO Summer School on
"\;Earth System Monitoring &\; Modelling"\;\, which will be held in ESRIN
(Frascati\, near Rome) between the 4th and 14th August 2008.

Baikal area. Activities
will include field observation of unique cryogenic processes\, discussion of
future joint research programs\, establishment of international geocryological
research sites\, etc.
