Beringhian Culture?

"Local Russian" ethnic group inhabiting Indigirka Delta for 350 yrs has very interesting history. They came by sea from Northern Europe in 17th century and then shared their way of economy (but not only) with local paleoasian tribes. Then collectivisation brought them together to impact economy: furry animals hunting, fishing and mammoth tusk collection at industrial scale. The remnants of all this represent the social mixture that could be found in architecture of small seasonal economic settlements. The largest of them had the oil storages and even diesel power station. However, it is hard to build house in Arctic tundra due to lack of wood. The only source of it is river flown coarse debris. Nothing else is so easy to build of it but wigwam. It unifies the local traditions of building with traditions of North American Indians.
